The Undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree in Geology is a 4 year program that is designed to both prepare students into the workforce as practicing geoscientists, and to provide them with knowledge required to pursue an advance degree. Students enrolled in Geology program at DeKUT are afforded the opportunity to pursue interests in several areas as specialization including petrology, volcanology, structural geology, sedimentary geology, climate change and soil science.
This program helps students learn about the composition of Earth and it's atmosphere; how natural forces, such as wind and water, shape land; and how to analyze Earth's layers, rock and mineral formations and raw materials, like oil and water. Students learn how to understand the planet's health, how its resources can be used in everyday life and how it has changed over time.
Entry requirements are at least a minimum grade of C+, C+ in Mathematics and a C+ in any 2 of the subjects indicated below:-
