FOSTERING ACADEMIC MOBILITY IN CHANGING TIMES - A CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST TO ATTEND A VIRTUAL WORKSHOP ON INTERNATIONALIZATION
Dedan Kimathi University of Technology (DeKUT) together with the Kenya DAAD Scholars Association (KDSA), DeKUT Chapter, have the pleasure to invite you to express interest to participate in a Five-Day Virtual Workshop on “MANAGEMENT OF INTERNATIONALIZATION FOR YOUNG UNIVERSITY ACADEMIC AND ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF" scheduled for 20th – 24th July, 2020.
The workshop targets academic and administrative university staff who are working in i) International Offices, ii) Offices coordinating international collaborations and linkages or iii) Individuals who have established or are in the process of establishing and running international collaborations and linkages.Additionally, the workshop is also targeting other participants who desire to enhance and share knowledge on the management of internationalization.
A workshop on the management of internationalization, internationalization of research and international collaborations and linkages for university academic and administrative staff will foster academic mobility through which knowledge sharing and specialized training across borders can be attained. The participants will be exposed to the various ways of managing processes and tasks of internationalization in the area of higher education efficiently. Furthermore, the participants shall have discussion sessions on how to set and manage effective structures of internationalization at their universities.
The mode of delivery for the workshop will comprise of virtual presentations, online group discussions and sharing of experiences on good practices. The sessions will run from 9.00am – 12.00 p.m. daily. DAAD will provide internet bundles for the participants for the entire workshop.
