Universities are responding to global trends through internationalization. This represents a commitment to international solidarity, human security and helps to build a climate of global peace.
Globalization has created a highly interconnected world. To be effective and to maintain excellence, universities must become more internationalized; Universities must prepare future leaders and citizens through promoting cultural diversity and fostering intercultural understanding, respect, and tolerance among peoples.
This was the message delivered by the International Office to students from Risskov Efterskole, Denmark and the Nyeri Baptist High School who were on a one-day educational tour of the University. The two institutions have a joint programme for cultural and academic exchange.
