CPA James Munga Njaria is the Chief internal Auditor at Dedan Kimathi University of Technology. He is in-charge of overseeing and managing all aspects of Audit and Risk functions of the University.
CPA Njaria was promoted to the position of a Chief internal Auditor on 24th February 2017 having served as a Senior Internal Auditor of DeKUT since 12th April 2010 when he joined the University. Before taking up his role as an Internal Auditor at DeKUT he assisted set up the structures of the Finance department at DeKUT for a period of six months.
CPA Njaria joined DeKUT in the year 2010 from Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology where he held various Key Finance positions having been the head of Revenue function, Final accounts, Procurement and income generating units which he held at different times in his 20 years working experience at JKUAT.
CPA James holds a Masters degree in Business Administration strategic management (MBA) and a Bachelor of Commerce Accounting option (B.Com.) both from Jomo Kenyatta University of Technology. He is also a certified public Accountant CPA (K) and is a member of the institute of certified public Accountants in Kenya (ICPAK).
