Dedan Kimathi University of Technology in collaboration with the University of Siegen empowered many students through the Erasmus programme. Alfred Mwachugha and James Maina are among the master students who benefited from this programme for a period of 6 months as from 1st march 2018 in the field of wind energy. The programme provides an enlarged variety and flexibility to students in planning and to pursue educational objectives and also to enhance the international compatibility of studies and thus global mobility. The German students have also benefited from a robust experience of Coffee Technology - from the farm to the cup.. In Germany, DeKUT staff have visited companies dealing with renewal materials for boat making, energy generation plants from waste, jet engine maintenance, coffee processing among other companies. Exposure to industry experiences to the staff and students has been quite enriching. With such a successful collaboration, DeKUT can only get stronger in its quest to be a Premier University of Technology.
