DeKUT and IPOA Launch Strategic Research Partnership

Dedan Kimathi University of Technology has taken a significant step in strengthening collaboration with the Independent Policing Oversight Authority (IPOA) through the formalization of a strategic research partnership.
Led by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Eng. Peter N. Muchiri, EBS, the DeKUT delegation attended a meeting hosted by IPOA Chairperson Ahmed Issack Hassan, alongside members of the IPOA Board and Management. The engagement marked an important milestone in fostering cooperation between the two institutions.
Through this collaboration, DeKUT aims to leverage its expertise in research, innovation, and technology to support IPOA’s mandate of ensuring effective police oversight in Kenya. The partnership underscores the University’s commitment to contributing solutions that enhance transparency, accountability, and professional standards within the policing sector.
This strategic partnership is expected to pave the way for joint research projects, knowledge exchange, and capacity-building initiatives that will benefit both DeKUT and IPOA, ultimately promoting a culture of integrity and professionalism in law enforcement.
