Out of Africa International Film Festival (OOAIFF)
In partnership with Out of Africa International Film Festival and the County Government of Nyeri, we officially launched the Out of Africa International Film Festival that is being held from 19th -22nd January at the University. This is first time the festival is being held in Nyeri which is a significant milestone as it fits with the Kenya Film Commission and the University’s agenda of scaling up capacity and infrastructure for the film industry across the country by decentralizing infrastructure and capacity aware from the capital city of Nairobi.
Out of Africa International Film Festival (OOAIFF) is one of the film festivals in Kenya committed to supporting emerging talent and providing fun, original and thought-provoking cinematic experiences. Through this partnership, the University will create awareness among hundreds of young professional filmmakers, artists and audiences in Nyeri County and Kenya. The partnership will also enable students to compete globally in filmmaking and become the next generation of storytellers and artists in film and television.
