DeKUT to Host and Mentor Kenya –AIST in Konza Technopolis

On Friday, 29th July 2022, a team from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST)) visited the university to discuss future partnerships and collaborations. The Kenya Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (Kenya-AIST), which is being constructed at the Konza Technopolis, was recently established based on a signed agreement between Kenya and Korea. The Institute, which will offer specialized research and training in various cutting-edge engineering technologies, will be a replica of the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). Kenya-AIST will initially function as an affiliated college of DeKUT before rapidly transitioning into a specialized university. This will help the country fast-track modernization of its economy.
