DeKUT Students Represent Kenya and Africa in International Space Mission

DeKUT is proud to celebrate Mirigo Mburu and Teresiah Kamau, who were selected as National Finalists for Mission ShakthiSAT, an international space mission by Space Kidz India.

The two are currently representing Kenya and Africa at Gautam Buddha University in India, where they are gaining invaluable exposure to satellite technology, space science and international space collaboration. Seeing our young women fly the DeKUT and Kenyan flag among global peers is a reminder that the future of space is diverse and inclusive. Their journey reflects the immense potential of young African women to contribute to the future of science, technology and space exploration.

As a University committed to nurturing innovation, talent and global competitiveness, DeKUT is proud to see our students’ pursuing opportunities that broaden their horizons and inspire the next generation of innovators and space leaders.

Congratulations to Teresiah Kamau and Mirigo Mburu as they continue to make Kenya and Africa proud!
