DeKUT wins Entrepreneurial University of the Year Award

The Vice-Chancellor DeKUT, Prof. Peter Muchiri, accompanied by Prof. Ndirangu Kioni, Head of the Research, Innovation Ecosystems and Entrepreneurship Education Office and Ms. Ruth Muriithi, Head of Dedan Kimathi Science and Technology Park, attended the 2023 Commercialization and Entrepreneurial Institutions Leaders (CEIL) Summit themed 'Getting it Right on Commercialization of Research Outputs and Ideas'. During the Summit, the Kenya National Innovation Agency launched the Institutional Support programme Cohort II, where DeKUT was admitted after a successful bid. The Occasion was flagged off by the Cabinet Secretary, Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs, Hon. Ababu Namwamba, the PS, State Department for Higher Education and Research, Dr Beatrice Inyangala and PS, State Department for Youth Affairs, Mr Ismail Maalim graced the Occasion.

It is a significant milestone for DeKUT and DeST-Park as the University and the Park endeavor to launch more startup companies.
